I have had my homepage for many years. I get a weekly report telling me how many
visits there are. Now (August 2005) there are about 100 a day, from all over the
world. Most search hits are to the pages of "Hurtigruta", to
"Coconut Bay", to pictures and to songs. - Now I found out how to make
a guestbook. I got good help from Nextra (Telenor)'s help service. - You are
welcome!

Hello Harald, Your web page is great. I love the pictures from your travels. In
looking at your family genealogy I think that I am distantly related to Carl
Edvard Dahl line as well... but might be reading my line back to Tor Gunderson
Ramsdal wrong, can you help? You already have my line in your genealogy from the
book that I mailed to you. I would love to see the home that was my great
grandfathers line for several generations, I understand a man that lives in
Starvanger (?) owns it now and has been remodeling it to use as a summer house.
I want to see it in person, would you know who the man is or how I might contact
him to see if he would allow me to see the house if I can make a trip to Norway?

HI, We have e-mailed each other a long time ago, before my children took over my
life. Now I am slowly getting back to my ancestors. I have traced my Mor Mors
side from Naevland all the way back to Gunder Birkeland in the Kvas book. Now I
am going to work on my other lines. Here is my first simple question. The Mandal
Kirke Records for my gg Grandmother says Kristiane Theodora Torkildson born in
Malmo. I assumed it was Malmo in Sweden, but then in someones tree last night I
saw that there was a Malmo in Norway. Thanks! Lois Wullenweber California, USA

To Becky: Yes, you are a long distant cousin. I have made photos in your
ancestors's house. It is nice preserved. I'll mail the pictures.
To Lois, my long distant cousin - . Yes, Malmų is in Mandal. It is the town
part that is on the eastern side of the river. My grandfather was born there. My
gg-grandfather, Bernt Hansen, was a shoemaker there. Holum bygdebook, page 627,
says your ggg-grandfather, Torkild Christensen (Wathne) b. 1800, also was a
shoemaker on Malmų. But in 1865 he was listed as a labourer: 1865

My paternal grandparents came to USA from Norway in early 1900s. Thanks to
Harald, I have made acquaintance with many Bentsen (my grandmother) relatives in
Norway that we all had "lost". Remain very proud of my Norwegian
heritage. I would still like to find & email with some of my grandfather's
kin. He had a brother in Risor named John Torjusen who had a store.

Hi Harald, I have really enjoyed emailing you and finding our about my
ancestors. I usually travel to France when I leave the country, I love it there
and have good friends. I might think about Norway next time, but in the summer,
in Florida we think 70%f is cold. Barbara

I have deleted hundreds of spam messages in this guestbook, and now I close it.
You might use the guestbook in Norwegian. So far it has not been invaded by spam.
