We came to Sedona, "The Most Beautiful Place in America."
The nature was real beautiful, the houses were nice,
- and the advertising boards were modest
The view was grand - and the food was good
The next day we drove up to the airport, - a good lookout point
Thrilling nature
I and Lise climbed a mountain ridge
I climbed carefully -
Then we returned to the road, and moved on to Phoenix.
We drove via Payson, crossing high altitudes down to Scotsdale
The Sunday in Phoenix we visited a Lutheran church. It was social
and varied: a meal was served, and there was a traditional service
in the old church and a contemporary.service in the gymnasium
We had a stop at a Western second-hand store
There was a "Wild West Show"
Bang! Bang! - you are dead. Who's next?
Funny figures
After a walk in the desert I was full of spikes
Arizona is the state in USA with most cactus
The road passed some beautiful lakes
In Pinetop we stayed two more days by the hospitable Hall family
then it was time for goodbye, to Stephanie - and to Lise
We met a nice guy who had just opened a new store there
The northbound lines were a seperate road way off!
Then we went by plane to MINNEAPOLIS!
